Parrots at Middle Path

Pale headed Rosella ~ Platycercus adscitus

A Pale headed Rosella contemplates the fruits on a Brazilian Cherry - extremely well-camoouflaged to the naked eye despite the bright colours.

Some of the most timid of the visitors to the feeders, the Pale headed Rosellas are constantly monitoing their surroundings for potential threats.

Male King Parrot ~ Alisterus scapularis

Always a bright patch in the greenery these King Parrots are amazingly hard to spot in the forest until they move.

Typical of the bird kingom the femaile of the species is nowhere near as gaudy as her mate.
