Sandstoning,

part: the first

Getting ready.

In May of 2005 we were fortunate to complete the process of realigning our northern boundary which reunited the environment around the Temple.

Once we had finished the intitial earthmoving to create access and growing areas we embarked on the long-overdue task of laying sandstone around the temple.

We ordered 160 square metres of 40mm thick sandstone "seconds" which duly arrived on a semi trailer which had to unload at the top of the drive.

The journey down the drive begins

Fortunately the driver was sympathetic to our plight - if the sandstone was left at the top of the drive we would have had a huge job just to move it to the site.

Despite his misgivings about driving the loaded 3-wheeled forklift down a fairly steep gravel drive, he safely delivered the 8 pallets onsite and we were ready to go.

Some of the pallets, patiently awaiting the preparation phase before they began being used in earnest.
